About Us

A pain clinic that believes good pain
care begins with listening — and understanding.

Our mission

The Pain Management Clinic at Rajavithi Hospital
was established so that people living with chronic pain and cancer-related
pain can access modern, safe, specialist care to university-hospital
standards. We believe every patient’s pain has its own story. Good
treatment therefore begins with listening, thorough assessment, and
shared decision-making with patients and families at every step.

As part of a medical school, we carry three complementary roles:
caring for patients, training physicians and specialists in pain
medicine, and conducting research to advance treatment. Our patients
always receive care grounded in the latest evidence.

Our team

Effective pain care draws on many kinds of expertise. Our team includes:

  • Pain medicine specialists — anesthesiologists with
fellowship training dedicated to pain management, experienced in both
outpatient care and advanced interventional procedures
  • Clinic nurses — who assist with assessment, advise
on medication and self-care, and serve as patients’ main point of contact
  • A multidisciplinary network — close coordination
    with rehabilitation medicine, physical therapy,
and palliative care, for truly whole-person care

Our standards of care

  • Every procedure is performed by a specialist physician under
    modern image guidance
  • We follow international clinical practice guidelines and hospital
    quality-accreditation (HA) standards
  • Treatment outcomes and patient safety are monitored continuously
  • We provide complete information before every decision — and
    always respect the patient’s choice

Education and research

Our clinic is a training site for resident physicians and healthcare
professionals. You may sometimes be cared for by a physician in training,
always under the close supervision of attending faculty at every step.
We also conduct research in pain management and palliative care;
participation in any study is entirely voluntary and never affects the
standard care you receive.

We would be glad to care for you
